Birthday Party Leader
Age 18+, Saturdays, occasional Fridays or Sundays

We're looking for RESPONSIBLE, ENTHUSIASTIC and ORGANIZED individuals interested in weekend (Saturdays w/potential for Friday afterschool or occasion Sunday) work leading our cooking/cupcake birthday parties for kids turning 7-11.

This is an ideal position for someone studying education, has done extensive babysitting, nannying, camp counseling, likes working with kids etc. Ideally age 18+   

Hours: Hours depend on whether or not parties are booked but are generally 2-3 weekends per month when we have a full staff. We generally know our party schedule 3-4 weeks (sometimes longer) in advance. 

An ideal candidate has availability Saturday 9am-6:30pm and Fridays 3:30-7:30. Saturdays are the most popular party day (may end at 3:30pm rather than 6:30pm), but Fridays are possible for a late afternoon party. If candidates are open to occasional Sunday work that’s great too.

Candidate may be considered for additional hours for party prep or meal prep, plus a summer cooking camp position.          

Responsibilities:

-Be the leader of the party and main point of contact with birthday child’s parents before, during and post party on party day.
-Making birthday child, birthday guests and birthday child’s parents feel special!
-Managing party guests and leading party activities.
-A bit of customer service pre and post party: answering phone, helping clients making Grab & Go purchases.

Additional responsibilities include decorating for party, printing labels/signage, cleaning party area, baking cupcakes, making icing, organizing toppings, baking pizzas, packaging cupcakes, plating food for guests, pouring drinks, slicing cake, party clean up.

Applicant needs to:
Have childcare clearances or be willing to get them. 
First aid/cpr certification is ideal but not required.
Be incredibly detail oriented, yet work quickly and efficiently.
Have a positive attitude and be flexible with job duties, absolutely no divas or drama.
Have reliable transportation to/from work & preferably live within 20 minutes of Paoli.
Have a neat appearance and communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
Take pride in his/her work and follow guidelines/policies.
Be able to stand on his/her feet for several hours at a time.
Be able to lift 25 pounds.
Have at least 2 references.

We’re looking for someone with a positive outlook who has a friendly, customer focused personality. Maturity, flexibility, the ability to both work well with others and to operate independently are key characteristics as well as an interest in cooking/food.

Servsafe certification is preferred, but is not required.

Party leaders start at $15.00/hour + gratuities. Eligibility for gratuities is after training period (usually training takes 2-3 shifts). Often party leaders earn $20+/hour with gratuities.
